Kia ora, talofa lava and welcome,
The HCN Unit is an interagency unit that supports staff and managers across health, disability, education and Child, Youth and Family to identify, plan and better meet children's needs when they are high and complex. We provide tools, resources and information to support interagency working and, where necessary, funding for the purchase of additional services.

Plan Approval Panel dates will change from fortnightly to weekly from May 2012
Plan Approval Panel meetings will move from two meetings every fortnight to one meeting every week as of May 2012. One week it will be Tuesday, and the following week, which is also an Application Panel week, the Plan Approval Panel will be on the Wednesday.
This arrangement starts on Tuesday 8 May 2012; the following week the Panel will meet on Wednesday 16 May.
Completed Plans, Reviews and Funding Change Requests need to be received at the HCN Unit by 5pm Tuesday the week prior to the Panel meeting they will be considered at. For example, if a Plan is received by 5 p.m. Tuesday 8 May, it will be considered for the Wednesday 16 May Panel meeting.
A completed Plan, Review or Funding Change Request must include a cover letter and the correct forms signed by the Lead Agency Manager. As meetings will be weekly, the HCN Unit will hold the paperwork for an incomplete Plan, Review or Funding Change Request and only submit the information to Panel once all of the information is received.
You can contact your HCN Advisor with any questions or feedback.
