Key roles and responsibilities

Lead agency managers are responsible for the overall implementation of the interagency plan.

The Lead Agency Manager Resource Folder contains resources and tools to help lead agency managers in their role at different stages of the process.

Contracting the services coordinator

The services coordinator is responsible for coordinating the interagency team.

Supporting interagency plan development

The lead agency manager supports the development of the interagency plan by:

  • contracting the services coordinator
  • ensuring directions from the Interagency Management Group are communicated to the team
  • ensuring any potential provider conflict of interest is identified and addressed
  • ensuring the proposed budget is reasonable and matches the service shortfalls identified by the Interagency Management Group
  • participating when difficulties arise and helping find solutions
  • identifying a finance contact.
Once the plan is approved

Once the interagency plan is approved, the funding is available from the first day of the following month. This allows the lead agency manager time to:

  • meet with the HCN Advisor and the services coordinator to discuss the Plan Approval Panel letter
  • set up contracts with providers according to the approved budget
  • confirm the approved funding to the relevant agencies and providers
  • liaise with the Interagency Management Group to discuss any Plan Approval Panel recommendations.
Monitoring the plan and funding
5.

Reviews are submitted to the Plan Approval Panel to report on progress.
